Bruschetta -- Brian's The Works

Bruschetta is a simple toasted piece of bread with a bit of tomato and onion or you can make Brian's The Works.  I like lots of topping and take it a step beyond the Italian standered.  Give it a try and let me know what you like -- Simple or The Works!

What ya need:
1 large tomato seeded and diced
1/2 ripe avocado diced (sprinkle a bit of lemon juice over to prevent color change)
1/2 cup fetta cheese crumbled
1/8 cup Italian salad dressing
1/8 cup balsamic vineger
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup strips of green peper
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (basil, oregano and thyne)
1 loaf french bread cut in 1" slices

The Game Plan:

1. Put garlic clove in a garlic press
2. Rub the mashed garlic paste on the top of bread slices
3. Toast bread slices in a pan with a bit of olive oil or PAM
4. Toast onion, green pepper, garlic paste, and Italian seasoning till browned
5. Mix all ingredients and spread over the top of the toasted french bread
